It's that time of year again when parents realize that Summer is upon them and they need to figure out how to keep everyone busy during the break. If you are a working parent, it be even more challenging (and expensive!) to keep the kids occupied all summer. Luckily for those parents who are able to forgo camps, there are tons of outdoor activities, half day camps and day trips to keep everyone busy this summer.

San Luis Obispo YMCA - The Y offers a wide variety of full day camps and activities for all ages. The fees are also affordable and if you are a member, it's even better.

Camp Ocean Pines, Cambria - What kid wouldn't enjoy this camp? Set among the beautiful pines of the Cambria coast with a cool ocean breeze whistling through the trees, this program offers a true Summer Camp experience.

World Cup Soccer Camps & Clinics - They offer half day and full day camps for all ages and levels of experience.

Catalyst Soccer, Central Coast - Offering summer camps and ongoing weekly sessions throughout the year.

City of San Luis Obispo - The city offers a wide variety of programs for all ages. Register early because they do fill up fast!

Boys and Girls Club of North San Luis Obispo County - Offering an educational summer program filled with fun activities for kids.

CalPoly Sports Camps - Various clinics and camps for different age levels in Soccer, Football, Volleyball, Baseball, and Soccer.

SLO Jr. Golf - 3 day, half day camps with hand on gold training on beautiful area courses.

Cayucos Jr Lifeguard Program - Now if this isn't quintessential California summer activity, I don't know what is!

Coastal Dance & Music Academy - A creative and healthful place for families to enjoy dance, music, theater, and voice together. Located in Grover Beach.
