SLO New Construction

SLO New Construction

New Homes Being Built in San Luis Obispo County

SLO, or San Luis Obispo, has been named of the best places to live by Sunset Magazine and Forbes (to name a few) and it has also been named “The Happiest Place in America” by National Geographic. It's no wonder so many people want to live here, not just visit.

Not only does the area offer beautiful wine country scenery and access to pristine beaches, it also offer a real sense of community unlike many of California's larger cities. Great schools, plentiful outdoor activities, an active Arts scene and a thriving business community make SLO a great place to live, work and play.

Commercial construction projects such as a hotels and retail also on the rise. A good indicator of a strengthening economy.

The housing market is tight here and thus prices remain higher compared to other cities outside of CA. There is a little relief of the horizon, but they won't last long. Several new home communities are springing up just in time to meet the growing demand.

Serra Meadows, located off Prado Rd and S Higuerra St is selling homes in its first phase of construction. Eight different floor plans in three distinctive California styles are being offered. Choose from classic California Bungalow, Craftsman or Spanish facades. Model homes are available now to tour.

Two new residential projects are also in the works, totaling 355 homes and will be located in the Orcutt area at the southern edge of the city. Other local new construction communities include Trilogy at Monarch Dunes in Nipomo and Vintage at Montebello Oaks in Paso Robles.

Another option is to look for an available lot in an established neighborhood or raw land and build your own home. See this Blog Article for tips on building your dream home.

An experienced Buyer's Agent, I can help with purchasing a new home. Keep in mind you don't have to work with the builder sales office directly, you can choose to have your own representation. I will represent you from negotiating a contract and throughout the building process ensuring you get the proper inspections along the way and that your best interests are always represented. I can also give you advice on the value of the improvements and upgrades you choose in relation to other homes in the area, so you don't overbuild.

Remember, the builder is watching their bottom line, I will watch yours. And there is no cost to you to have representation. Contact me today to discuss home options to meet your needs.
