Day Trip to Morro Bay, CA

Day Trip to Morro Bay, CA

Enjoy the Tranquility of this California Seaside Town

Morro Bay is located on California's Central Coast midway between San Francisco and Los Angeles in San Luis Obispo County. Miles away from the hustle and bustle of city life and light years away from the chaos and stress of the big city; Morro Bay is the definition of tranquility.

The crisp dense sea fog, the clanking of the rigging against sailboat masts, the barking of sea lions and the slow pace of life add to the charm.

Downtown Morro Bay, although small and quaint, has a variety of boutiques, coffee shops, restaurants and antique stores to mill around. Locally owned hotels add to the charm of the town. Anderson Inn is a favorite and offers nice rooms and a cozy atmosphere.

The wharf area is nice for a stroll to watch the fishing boats come and go and see the sea lions napping on floating docks.

Are you planning a weekend getaway or Day Trip to Morro Bay? Visit any of these Morro Bay Restaurants on a weekend getaway. Frankie and Lola's Front Street Cafe is a great spot for breakfast. Locals rave about their French Toast and Fried Green Tomato Benedict, yum! Stroll around town and weave in and out of shops.

Grab a quick bite at Shine Cafe for a light and tasty vegetarian option. Then stroll down to the waterfront for some more shopping and taking in the picturesque sights. Just a short walk down the road along the water is a nice park, playground and marina.

For dinner, try Windows on the Water, a popular restaurant right on the waterfront that offers great seafood and fantastic views of the sunset over Morro Rock. Top off the night at Legend's Bar for a nightcap.

Doesn't this sound like a fun little getaway? Or does it sound more like a great place to live?

If you are considering making Morro Bay your home, I would welcome the opportunity to show you what this area has to offer. After all, buying a home is not just about a real estate purchase, it's about creating a lifestyle and being part of a community.
